Miller Auditorium is thrilled to announce two shows going on sale, starting Aug. 18, 2025. Enjoy the return of A Carpenters’ Christmas on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, in this heartfelt holiday homage to the beloved music of Karen and Richard Carpenter. Then, performing on Jan. 16, 2026, Revisiting Creedence takes the stage for a powerhouse concert experience that can’t be missed.
Relive the warmth and nostalgia of Christmas with A Carpenters’ Christmas, a nostalgic tribute to the beloved holiday music of Karen and Richard Carpenter. Starring acclaimed singer and playwright Lisa Rock leading a talented six-piece band, this enchanting concert faithfully recreates the Carpenters’ iconic sound, bringing their cherished Christmas classics to life.
A Carpenters’ Christmas
Known for their chart-topping hits and unforgettable melodies, the Carpenters also won the hearts of millions with their festive holiday celebrations. A Carpenters’ Christmas draws from the duo’s two holiday albums and their classic Christmas television specials, featuring timeless favorites like "Merry Christmas Darling" and the swinging "Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town." With lush arrangements and Lisa Rock’s stunning vocals, the show captures the spirit of the season just as the Carpenters did—through music that’s as comforting as a winter’s night by the fire. Audiences will be transported back to the golden era of holiday entertainment, where Karen’s velvety voice and Richard’s masterful arrangements made Christmas magic. From nostalgic ballads to joyful carols, A Carpenters’ Christmas is a celebration of tradition, family, and the enduring legacy of one of music’s most beloved acts.
Revisiting Creedence
Creedence Clearwater Revival returns to the stage with Revisiting Creedence, a powerhouse concert experience you won’t want to miss. Featuring Dan McGuinness (lead vocals) and Kurt Griffey (lead guitar)—veteran performers who toured globally with Creedence Clearwater Revisited alongside original CCR members Stu Cook and Doug "Cosmo" Clifford—this band delivers Creedence’s iconic hits with unmatched authenticity and energy. After 25 years of touring, Cook and Clifford retired, but as Rock & Roll Hall of Fame drummer Cosmo Clifford affirms: “You can still get that great sound with Kurt Griffey and Dan McGuinness in Revisiting Creedence.”
Rounding out the lineup are Ron Wikso (drums), handpicked by Cosmo to sub in Creedence Clearwater Revisited and current drummer for the Steve Miller Band, and Mick Mahan (bass), a 30-year touring veteran with Pat Benatar who even recorded with John Fogerty. Together, they bring unparalleled musicianship and deep ties to CCR’s legacy.
The cultural impact of Creedence’s music remains undeniable. As Rolling Stone noted, “Creedence were America’s biggest band in the summer of ’69… and still are in the summer of ’24.” Their Chronicle greatest hits album consistently tops Billboard charts, surpassing legends like The Beatles, Stones, and Queen.
Fans and critics rave:
“One of the best concerts yet! Their energy was infectious—a multi-generational hit.”
“Phenomenal! The band was tight, and everyone was on their feet.”—Kristin LaPorte, Alameda County Fair
“Precision-performed, respecting the original recordings while breathing new life live.”—Natalia Eidt, music journalist
Revisiting Creedence isn’t just a concert—it’s a full-throttle celebration of CCR’s timeless hits, uniting lifelong fans and new listeners alike.
