Ticketing Policies

Ticket Exchanges

Please note: All exchanges need to be filled prior to the performance. No exchanges will be filled once a performance has passed.

There are no exchanges for single ticket orders. Season Subscribers may exchange tickets up to one hour before a performance. Exchanges must be made in person.

Broadway shows must be exchanged for a different performance of the same title. Spotlight Events may be exchanged for any event in the Miller season. If the request is filled with tickets at a higher value than original seats, the difference will be charged. Lower-priced tickets will not be subject to a refund or credit.

Miller Auditorium Subscribers may exchange tickets at no charge up to one hour prior to the performance. 


All ticket sales are final. There are no refunds, even due to inclement weather.

Lost Tickets

If you lose or misplace your tickets, please come to the Ticket Office prior to the performance for assistance.

Late Seating

For the consideration of the artists and our patrons, anyone arriving while a performance is in progress will be seated only at times designated by the artist and their management.

Late arriving patrons will be directed to remain outside and observe the performance on the monitors until a designated seating time and may be directed to seats in the rear of the theatre until intermission.

Cameras & Recording

The camera policy will vary from show to show. While Miller Auditorium does not have a policy prohibiting cameras, many artists do. When an artists requests a “no camera” policy, our staff is legally required to enforce this on behalf of the artist. When in doubt, call the Ticket Office at (269) 387-2300 prior to the performance or ask the house manager on the evening of the event.

The use of video or sound recording devices is prohibited.


We believe children should be exposed to the cultural arts, but we are sensitive to other patrons’ enjoyment as well. Many of our events are not suitable for younger children. Parents will be asked to remove their child(ren) if they are causing disruptions or are unable to sit quietly. Children under 5 years of age are encouraged to attend specially designated family performances.

For safety reasons, we do require that every patron, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter the theater. Because we are a public facility and must follow fire code protocols, every person in the theater must be accounted for. Miller Auditorium participates in several discount programs. It is the responsibility of the customer to inform the Ticket Office of any discounts or coupons at the time of purchase. Refunds will not be made for prior sales or failure to inform the Ticket Office of discounts or coupons.

WMU Student Sales

WMU students receive a 50% discount on most show tickets thanks to a fund established by the President's Office. WMU students are limited to one discounted ticket per event with a valid Bronco Card. Tickets may be purchased in person at the Miller Auditorium Ticket Office or by telephone at (269) 387-2300. WMU students are required to show their Bronco Card when picking up tickets and upon entrance to the theatre.

This discount is available only for shows presented by Miller Auditorium and is not applicable to shows presented by companies not affiliated with the University.

WMU Faculty & Staff Sales

Benefits eligible WMU faculty and staff receive a 15% discount on all series and single ticket purchases for their personal use. A valid Bronco Card must be shown in order to pick up tickets. This discount only applies to shows presented as part of a Miller Auditorium series and may be used for up to eight tickets per qualifying event. Discount can only be redeemed in person or via phone at (269) 387-2300. 

Faculty and Staff Payroll Deduction

WMU faculty and staff may use the convenience of payroll deduction to pay for ticket orders of $100.00 or more. Deductions are divided over 18 pay periods. Please visit the Miller Auditorium Ticket Office with a valid Bronco Card to enroll in the payroll deduction plan (for the remaining pay periods in the fiscal year).

Arbor Financial Credit Union Members

Arbor Financial Credit Union members receive up to 15% off select Broadway shows as well as select Spotlight events. Call the Ticket Office at (269) 387-2300 or (800) 228-9858 for a list of available discounted performances.

Arbor Financial Credit Union member discounts are not available online. You must mention discount when purchasing tickets. No refund is available on prior sales. 

Special Services

Wheelchair spaces with adjacent seating for a companion are available in Zone I of the Grand Tier and in Zone II of the Orchestra level. Hearing assistance receivers are available at the coat check on the Orchestra level. Signing will be made available for selected performances if arrangements are made one month in advance.
