Spotlight On: Eric Oliphant

Our Spotlight On series was created to give us the chance to show off our amazing staff, volunteers, and donors--without whom Miller Auditorium would not be what it is today.
Eric Oliphant is our Office Coordinator here at Miller Auditorium. He has a lot of daily responsibilities that involve all departments, but his focus is often on the Friends of Miller donor program.
Eric has been at Miller for one year, but in that time, he has seen many performances and his favorite so far was comedian Nick Offerman. Listening to the MSBOA (Michigan School Band & Orchestra Association) Honors Symphony Orchestra rehearse at 8 a.m. during the Michigan Youth Arts Festival last spring is another of his favorite Miller memories. Eric says it was an amazing way to start his day.
Outside of his work, Eric enjoys teaching and performing drums and percussion. Eric says that the fictional character his most identifies with is Creed Bratton from The Office because, “Nobody steals from Creed Bratton and gets away with it. The last person to do this disappeared. His name: Creed Bratton.” When asked about the most useless talent he has, Eric claims he can fry the perfect egg. Thanks to Eric for all he does to help make Miller Auditorium a great place to visit.
