Disney's Beauty and the Beast essay contest for area schools

Miller Auditorium is inviting educators to have their students submit an entry on whether their school year has been a "Beauty" or a "Beast" so far and why their class deserves to see Disney's Beauty and the Beast at Miller Auditorium on Wednesday, Jan. 21 at 7:30 p.m. on us!
Students can do an individual project, or work as a class to put together an entry.  It can be as simple as a short essay, or as elaborate as a video.  Make it fun and from the heart!

1.  Entries must be received via email, postal, or in person by Jan. 14 at 5 p.m.  Entries that are emailed can be sent to: tracey.lawie@wmich.edu .  Those being mailed can be addressed to:  Tracey Lawie, Miller Auditorium, 1903 W. Michigan Ave., Kalamazoo, MI 49008-5344.  If dropping off in person, the Miller Auditorium Administrative offices are open M - F, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. and we are located in the bridge connecting the parking ramp to the theatre. (Please note our holiday hours.) Miller is located on the campus of Western Michigan University.  Please be sure that entries include the name of the school, the grade, name of teacher and number of students who would be attending the show if entry is selected as a winner.

2.  Tickets are being provided by the generous donors that make up the Friends of Miller.  There will be 200 tickets distributed amongst the winners of this contest.  Winners will be selected by a review panel and announced by Jan. 16.

3.  Please note that winners will only receive tickets to the performance.  Bussing is not included.  Please be sure to include chaperone/drivers in the number of tickets you are requesting with your entry.
