Dear Miller Patron,

Looking back on the last 40 years, I see an incredible array of entertainment that has graced the Miller stage. Beginning with the first notes of the University Symphony Orchestra in 1968, the main focus through the years has been to bring the best performing arts to West Michigan.

Again this year we have assembled a dazzling display of Broadway, jazz, classical, dance and music from around the world. Enjoy the best of Broadway in Kalamazoo with The Wedding Singer, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and Avenue Q. In addition you will enjoy Jeff Foxworthy, the Glenn Miller Orchestra and An Evening with Garrison Keillor. These are just a few of the shows we are offering.

Miller is an integral part of the community and helps bolster the cultural and economic vitality of Southwest Michigan. We try to reflect the diversity of our community on our stage and in our audience. We offer educational programs and community activities including master classes. Don’t miss Sweet Honey In The Rock® opened by the Kalamazoo NAEA GospelFest Choir. In addition to a public performance of Ballet Folklórico de México, we will have two school performances in collaboration with Education for the Arts. Through the arts we offer the youth of the community an opportunity to use their imaginations and see the world.

In this changing world with time and money in short supply, we gravitate toward the familiar. I encourage you to try something different, stay local, keep your dollars here in Kalamazoo and at the same time enjoy big city entertainment.

See you at the show,

Elaine Williams
Director

Art is our one true global language. It knows no nation, it favors no race, and it acknowledges no class. It speaks to our need to reveal, heal and transform. It transcends our ordinary lives and lets us imagine what is possible.”
